First Mate’s Class, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, in the Marine Room. Course content includes making sure your boat safe/legal/and equipped to handle emergencies. Plus, extensive content on actually handling an emergency.
January 25, 2012, Wednesday, Course put on by the South Bay Sail and Power Squadron
Marine Electricity 7 PM to 9 PM in the Marine Room
FEBRUARY
February 4th - South Bay Sail and Power Squadron
Time 9am to 11am, in the Marina Room Course content includes, “Winterization” What you need to know about winterizing your boat in Southern California for periods of inactivity.
February 5th – Superbowl Sunday
Join us in the Marine Room and share the afternoon hooting and hollering for your team. The Marina will supply drinks (non-alcoholic and beer). Time and teams playing to be announced.
February 11th - South Bay Sail and Power Squadron
Time 9am to 11am, in the Marine Room Course content includes, Bonding, Bottom Paint & Zincs Learn all about bonding, to minimize the effects of galvanic corrosion.
February 18, Saturday, Class by Lawrence Holt
CPR, AED & FIRST AID SEMINAR, What every boater needs to know in a lifesaving emergency. 11:00 AM to 2 PM in the Marine Room.

July 4th – July 8th, “THE RED HOT DAYS OF SUMMER” , Five days of planned activities so bring the family down for a fun filled weekend.
AUGUST
August 4, 2012, Marina Tenant Summer Party. “IT’S FIVE O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE.”
Featuring the Jimmy Buffet sounds by Gary Sieler and the Sons of the Coast Riders. Come EAT, DRINK and make new friends island style. Time 5:00 to 8:00, and will be held in the Sunset BBQ Pavilion at the RV Resort.

September 22, Saturday, What is a Dinghy Poker Run?
Come and find out at a meeting on 9/22 and sign up for the time of your life as we venture out together on Sunday September 23rd on Chula Vista Marina’s 1st Annual Dinghy Poker Run. Great Fun, Great Prizes and Great Food.
OCTOBER
October 6th, Saturday, Swap Meet. Last swap meet of the year, clean out those boats and make some room in all those storage units.
NOVEMBER
November is Thanksgiving and all will be thankful for a wonderful dinner planned just for you. (Date and Times to be announced)
DECEMBER
December 7th and 8th will be our Christmas dock & boat lighting contest. We are looking for lots of participation in 2012. Let’s all show the Christmas community spirit here at the Chula Vista Marina and put on the best display ever seen. Make plans now to participate and enjoy all the festivities.
December 15th will be the Awards Ceremony and the Boat Tenant Christmas Party. Everyone is invited so bring the family down to the boat and celebrate Christmas with friends and family. (Times and location to be announced)
